It is the day after our reunion weekend, and I am so tired I can't bring myself to do much of anything except sit on the couch! But, in the next few days I will be posting a guest list from both nights and a financial disclosure so everyone is aware of how the money was spent and our current class account balance. But right now I'm too exhausted! Steve Maier and I will be getting together in the next two weeks to update the website and add the reunion photos. If there are any you would like me to send you at that time, just let me know and I will e-mail you the picture file.
Let me just thank the people that made this happen one last time! Steve Maier, our webmaster, is irreplaceable. Most of our classmates would not even know about the reunion if it weren't for this awesome site. As a matter of fact, he has some great ideas on how to make it even more interactive for us so we can keep in touch with each other between reunions! I'm also interested in hearing from those classmates who attended the reunion to find out who you think changed the most, who came the furthest for the party (although I think Mike Carey has that distinction unless we count Ted Jackson's deployment to Kuwait this weekend!)
JT and Kathy Blackburn gave us a fabulous mixer at the 31 Club Friday night. It was tough to leave even though the bar was closing for the night!!! You were the perfect hosts!
Saturday Shawna Blount-Baldwin made the most beautiful flower arrangements! Don't forget to call her when you need amazing floral arranging. She is a talent!!! I had a "wish list" of what the centerpieces would look like, but never imagined we could do it on our meager budget. It looked like a fancy wedding reception!
Shelridge Country Club was the perfect place for us! Thanks to Brett Decker and JT for the location; it was awesome! And, the food was outstanding. They have a huge list of items to choose from, so maybe before the next reunion we can post the choices and take a vote.
I have to admit, I had very little trouble getting people's contact information thanks to the efforts of Mike Maak, Belinda Brady, Mark Southcott, Lee Winters, JT, Kristin Balcerzak (I hope I didn't leave anyone else out! Feel free to yell at me if I did!) We had an awesome turnout on both nights. I'll get the guest names on this site this week but I will not be posting contact information due to protecting everyone's privacy. If there is someone you are interested in contacting, just e-mail me and I probably have at least their address.
I am ready to fall asleep in this chair, so I'll post more later. Take care, and I hope you recover from the festivities quickly!!!! :)
